Little Italy

The atmosphere is very much that of one of those lovely wee rural restaurants tucked away in the rolling hills of Tuscany.

Little Italy, however, is in Dumfries, capital of the region described as Scotland in Miniature, Dumfries and Galloway.

The mouth watering culinary delights on offer, though, are Italian through and through with a Scottish extra. That's the heavy emphasis on the use of local produce which essentially brings together two rich cultures of cuisine.

The cosy setting is ideal for a relaxing family meal or that special, intimate occasion. Pizza and pasta meet steak and fresh fish in a mouthwatering explosion of quality dishes that not only tempt the tastebuds but leave a lasting impression which cries out for a return visit.

They can all be washed down, of course, by some of the finest wines available.

Little Italy is another jewel in the crown of the Queen of the South. Buon appetito!
